The SpectrumData Recovery Process
SpectrumData is one of the few quality endorsed and ISO9001:2008 accredited data recovery organisations in Australia. Our data recovery procedures are designed to ensure the integrity of your data and its long term security. All hardware and media are barcoded on arrival and tracked throughout the entire data recovery process in our project management system.
Initial Analysis
On receipt of your hard disk drive or media and following our mandatory barcoding and job receipt procedures, SpectrumData Recovery technicians will conduct an assessment to determine the nature and extent of the data loss problem. There is a fee of $88 including GST for this assessment. However, should you decide to proceed with the recovery of data after the initial assessment, 50% of the inspection fee will be credited against the cost of your data recovery. Assessment Advice & Estimate of Job Cost to Client
Following the initial analysis, we will provide you with a diagnosis and estimate of the likely cost of the data recovery required. Where you have multiple recovery options, these will also be advised. SpectrumData Recovery will not proceed with the data recovery process until your approval has been received.
Commencement of Data Recovery
SpectrumData Recovery technicians will proceed with the recovery of data, using either software recovery or more complex data recovery techniques requiring specialist tools and equipment. Often the hard disk drive will need to be opened in our clean room facilities and microscopic examination of the data sectors and partitions within the disk. Once the data is recovered it is checked for readability, then migrated and output to the clients requested media format. Repair or replacement of the components is carried where applicable.
Return to client
Following the completion of the data recovery, all recovered data will be returned to our client. Where required immediately, data can be transferred to our clients via our secure FTP transfer facility, with backup copies being sent separately via courier on hard disk drive disk caddy or the media of choice. Clients can elect to have the original disk securely destroyed or returned with the recovered data.
